What matters is <em>how</em> the information is obtained and used — a professional does not pretext for protected financial or phone records, and regulated data (such as credit header information) is accessed only for a lawful, permissible purpose.
A full name is the starting point. Anything else you know — an approximate age or date of birth, a last-known city or address, a former employer, or the names of relatives — helps us work faster and more accurately, but it is not all required.
